Micropayment the future to pay publishers

When we think about situation of publishers in Internet, that’s doesn’t look very good. Journalism can’t be financed by the web, all the people distribute informations about Social Media, Google and Facebook makes the money, not the publishers.

So the informations will loose quality. Journalists don’t have the time to investigate, cause they have no money. As travel journalist I see the problem, nobody wants to pay. Some years ago, newspaper had good revenues with advertising customers offline.

We paid a contact price for 10 cents for every reader, now the publisher get 10 cents who clicks on the website. That’s a big difference. The journalism has no chance to survive, if we don’t pay for it.

Internet is free, we think a lot of users, want to pay for content, we find only no good ways for micropayments. When we looked in Google, there are not many organisations, they are all expensive and not write spreaded.

There will come blockchain solutions and maybe we find also partnerships for micropayments.

Paypal
They allow micropayments, in fact the commissions are very high and if the people wants to pay only 20 cents, commissions seems be higher, as the payment. So we try to find a solution with Paypal.

Web.Cent
The German webportal Web.De has a micropayment solution where you have to be listened as partner. We send them a request.

Google Pay
It could run, we had till now not the time to see really the conditions.

Apple Pay
Same as Google Pay, just no experience. Only we see that with iTunes Apple grabs much money.

We will inform here about the results and hope that micropayment will be developped.
